About Us
History
This is my story as a social worker heading the Ideal Savers International Mission based in Uganda East Africa as a CEO.
We work in three Districts in Uganda so far and that is Kampala where our head office is Namungoona, Nakibinge Road, Rubaga Division, Kampala District and Wakiso District where we have a healthcare centre (Ideal Saver Medical Centre ) operational with a mobile Clinics and in Luwero where we have gotten land snd that is were we are planning to establish a referral hospital with a structure which ican be constructed with a design that can allow the blind and the lame with there wheelchairs access medicalation because the national referral hospital has storage buildings and the lifts/ elevators are no longer functional.
My story begins here I am a social worker whose heart is in for the disabled !!!! I happened to be having with the group of the disabled in luwero District a meeting and their leader who was the then cuncilor at the called me trying to inquire of what time I would make it to the meeting , reason being a leader she had to organise that is the one (Kyazike ) her name meaning (God just lent me this child she belong to but to the creator.
One day I was heading to Luwero on my monthly meetings so she requested and apologised for being late that she had gone to take the lame one Sarah to hospital because it is hard to for the wheelchairs to navigate the hospital corridors to access the medical Doctors and so it was the blind helping the lame in a hospital designed not in favour of the ( blind and the lame including other disabilities.). Upon that incident I have never rested until I see that at least there is a hospital which can accommodate the people living with disabilities.in this case we have amputees and double amputees as you will see in the photos yet our National referral hospitals are stared and no elevators to carry them to the floors to access medication. We are working in three Districts in the central region in Uganda that is wakiso Kampala and luwero Districts. Luwero District is the one which more in the countryside and that is where this blind councillor is helping people including the non disabled and that is where we want to put this referral hospital with a section that favours the people living with disabilities.
